Napatsakorn Nikornsaen’ holds an alias as ‘Anxiety Storage’, which best descirbes her as a person and artist. The first image of Anxiety that comes to mind would be referred to Pixar’s animated movie ‘Inside Out 2’, which introduced the new character ‘Anxiety’ as a personification of the emotion among others such as Joy, Sadness, Fear, Envy, Shy, etc, which are in control of a teenager’s mind. “Fear protects her from what she can see but I protect her from what she CANNOT see”, said Anxiety, a frizzly orange character with a mouth bigger than her face, smiling widely and awkwardly..
Nonetheless, everyone’s Anxiety comes in different forms, at a different age, and from different causes. Nikornsaen, the ‘Anxiety Storage’, compares Anxiety to the feeling of the urge to ‘go home’. Yet her ‘home’ is nowhere to be found.
She would like to express and communicate her art to people who have mistakes in life and put an amount of pressure on their souls themselves, lovers, parents, society, or even someone in the artificial world called social media, which is everyone. ‘Self-acceptance’ is a key message from her to our under pressure souls.
